Nano Brows
Nanoblading – creating a thin and light veil effect on the eyebrows. It looks like the eyebrows are tinted with shadow: they look well-groomed and neat but natural. There are no sharp borders or drawn lines.

Nanoblading is a type of permanent eyebrow makeup. The key feature of the method is that the pigment ink is spread in a thin and transparent layer. The effect of such makeup resembles that of decorative cosmetics. In addition, the technique allows you to combine different colours and natural brow shades.
Nanoblading is an advanced permanent brow technique that creates thin, hair-like lines. The master uses an electronic device to introduce pigment into the skin to create an exact resemblance of hairs and the hyper-realistic effect of perfectly drawn brow hairs.
The principal instruments used in microblading and nanoblading differ: although nanoblading uses an electronic device to achieve accurate and lifelike results, microblading uses a pen with a micro-needle. Both methods can improve eyebrows by reshaping, adding fullness, and filling sparse areas.
The choice between microblading and nanoblading depends on the client’s preferences and the intended results.
What to expect from the nanoblading?
The powder technique is not suitable for everyone. For example, nanoblading will not be effective if a woman wants to change the natural form or position of her brows. This technique allows you to emphasize the natural beauty of correct asymmetry and hide flaws – scars or places where the eyebrows have stopped growing.
As in classic permanent makeup, nanoblading requires correction. It is necessary for colour spreading and durability.
It is essential to consider that, on average, nanoblading should be updated at 1-1.5 years intervals. During this period, the brow colour “washes out” from the upper layer of the epidermis, losing brightness, so periodic visits to the master are required.
Advantages
Nanoblading has several significant advantages:
- Painlessness. The pigment is applied and spread only in the upper layers of the skin. Because blood vessels are not impacted, the procedure is relatively painless;
- Safety. The tools used for nanoblading do not leave scars on the skin;
- Persistence. The effect of the procedure lasts for about a year. Timing varies depending on skin type, age, health;
- Colour saturation. The pigment goes away gradually, does not burn out and does not fade;
- Naturalness. After nanoblading, eyebrows do not look flat or too bright; they look natural.
Disadvantages
- Do you have eyebrows that are slightly raised? No problem. But is that the look you desire? Do you want your face to be constantly surprised? Nano-enhancement can cover scars, fill in thin areas, fix minor asymmetry, and change the look of your face without disrupting its natural balance.
- For some clients, the need for an additional cosmetic procedure—correction—is an unpleasant surprise. The master should explain that correction is necessary for quality nanoblading. It makes the colour more even and the result more durable and long-lasting.
- Preparing in a certain way is desirable for powder spraying and any other type of tattooing. Following special aftercare instructions after the permanent makeup procedure is also necessary.
- The procedure result is retained for a shorter period than classic tattooing. Nevertheless, the nanoblading effect is still quite persistent: it lasts up to 36 months. On average, it remains visible for 1-1.5 years.
Preparation Instructions
Nanoblading of eyebrows requires minimal preparation, but each “can not” should be approached with all responsibility. The following recommendations will help avoid possible problems and make the initial procedure as painless and effective as possible.
For at least a week before the initial procedure, refrain from shaping your eyebrow’s natural form so the specialist may evaluate the thickness, direction of growth, and unique characteristics of your beautiful brows.
- Refuse to visit the solarium. Tanning makes the skin more abrasive and prevents pigment from dispersing evenly.
- Exclude the use of alcohol and caffeine the day before and blood thinners a week before the initial session. Normalize your diet.
The expert will take care of everything else! A specialist will numb the area, create the ideal shape using a makeup pencil, select the best colour, and make your vision a reality. The length of the process varies based on the desired outcome and the issue, typically lasting around 1-2 hours on average.
Contraindications
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- A prior history of keloid or hypertrophic scars.
- Diabetes (requires a doctor’s approval).
- Chemotherapy (consult with a doctor).
- Viral infections and illnesses.
- Epilepsy disease.
- Significant cardiac issues or a pacemaker.
- Psoriasis or skin irritation near the treated area (rashes, sunburns, acne, etc.)
- Sick with the flu, colds, etc.
- Botox during the last month.
- Heart disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, poor general health.
Procedure
- Colour and shape selection. To make the task more accessible, the master asks the client to bring her favourite eyebrow pencil or a photo with the desired result. It is essential to agree on the desired shade and its intensity;
- Drawing a sketch. With the help of shadows or pencils, the master draws contours;
- Anaesthesia. A special cream is applied to the skin, which helps to avoid discomfort during the injection of pigment;
- The brow shape is finalized by being fixed in place. The pigment is applied in various ways, such as strokes or dots. This process requires fully recreating the sketch.
- The brow colour selection. The number of layers of colouring agent depends on how intense the shade should be. The master independently determines how many colours to introduce to get the desired tone.
After the procedure, the client is provided with post-treatment care recommendations. Treat the skin with an alcohol-free solution on the first day to remove any formed lymph. Light skin crusts will develop during healing and naturally peel off after a few days.
Until the dry skin is completely healed, you should avoid places with high humidity; otherwise, the “crusts” may come off prematurely. Removing them yourself is also strictly forbidden. Complete healing takes 3-7 days.
The shade will be less saturated the first time, and the final tone will appear within a few days. In the future, special care is not required. It is enough to avoid excessive skin dryness in the area of the eyebrows – for this, you can use a cream with dexpanthenol.
Healing stage
The procedure involves minimal traumatization. Slight swelling and redness disappear within 30-40 minutes after the original session, after which the main stage begins: healing.
After the nanoblading procedure, the “wound” should be cleaned with chlorhexidine approximately two hours later. Over time, a crust will form in the correction area, which should not be removed forcefully as it will naturally peel off. The complete healing process typically takes around 28-30 days. To speed up regeneration, apply cosmetic petroleum jelly to the eyebrows on the 4th-5th day post-procedure. It is refraining from activities such as swimming, intense exercise, and prolonged sun exposure for at least two weeks after a touch-up is recommended. Keeping the skin in the microblading area dry and clean is essential.
Correction
Once the crusts have been removed, do not rush to decide on the result. It takes time for the additional pigment to settle. It is advisable to wait at least a month before evaluating the results and making any required changes. Corrections are usually made 4 to 8 weeks after the first visit and may be repeated every 6-8 months.
Correction is not evidence of the master’s inexperience but an obligatory stage of microblading. Unlike tattooing, micropigmentation under the skin is introduced a small amount of paint, and part of it is lost in the healing process. The norm is a “residue” of 50-70% of the original drawn hair volume. Correction allows you to achieve 95-100% of the result. In some cases, the skin completely “rejects” the pigment without looking at the skill and efforts of the specialist.
Exceptions are rare. However, selecting a skilled professional to enhance your appearance is the key to achieving successful nanoblading beautiful brows.
