The most affordable option is the traditional microblading technique. The most expensive form of permanent eyebrow makeup involves hair strokes. The vibrant results can last up to a year but will gradually fade and disappear entirely within three years of the initial procedure.

Eyebrow tattooing can be performed using either mechanical or manual methods. The manual technique, known as “microblading,” involves using a thin blade to cut the skin, which has raised concerns among some professionals due to the risk of scarring. As an alternative, hardware permanent makeup utilizes a pen-like device for a more controlled and precise application.

Because of the differences in the effects of the procedures, there is a method of tattooed eyebrow pigmentation:

• Microblading. In this procedure, small incisions are manually made on the skin where the dye is placed. This technique takes a little longer than the others and requires more skill from the performer. However, the effect is worth the effort – healing is fast enough, and tattooing looks as natural as possible.
• Hair. The master makes single strokes on the arches of the eyebrows, which look like hairs. This method works well with eyebrows that only need to be made thick.
• Powdered. It is performed in the “dusting” technique. Thanks to the spreading, the eyebrows look as natural as possible, as if neatly tinted with a pencil.
• Ombré. In such permanent eyebrows, the lower line is emphasized, but their top and front part are made by the method of spreading.
• Hybrid. This is a combination of hair and powder method (growing).

Regardless of the chosen technique, the work of the master is carried out step by step:

• Detailed consultation. The master can answer your questions, reassure you if necessary, and dispel myths and fears. The shade of pigment is selected;
  Working out a sketch. The master, with the help of a mould and a pencil, develops a sketch based on the shape of the face and nose, the preferences of the client;
• The master starts working. Anaesthetic is applied secondary (during the procedure), as the first pigment run is painless. After the anaesthetic has taken effect, the master continues the work;
• At the end of the procedure, the master disinfects the area with antiseptic and applies a healing agent if necessary;
• Consultation on skin care, provision of a memo and appointment for correction.
• On average, the procedure takes one and a half to two hours. The main procedure lasts no more than an hour. The rest of the time is spent on consultation and developing the sketch.

Exact recommendations based on skin type will indicate the master at the end of the session. We will briefly describe what you can and should do and what you can not do during the dermis’s recovery period. Note that this period is individual and depends on your metabolism, how quickly the skin recovers, and how the pigment is perceived. On average, the skin takes 3-10 days to heal, and the pigment is entirely deposited and assimilated within one month.

For the first ten days, you should:

• Decontaminate with chlorhexidine to avoid infection;
• Apply a healing, moisturizing product recommended by the technician to the eyebrows frequently (or not at all, depending on the technician’s recommendations);
• Do not wet the eyebrows for the first few hours, and afterwards, gently wash and reapply the healing product;
• Gently wipe off the secreted lymphatic fluid with a sponge;
• Cover your eyebrows with a hat or glasses before going outdoors in sunny weather.

Do not:

• Scratch and rub the tattooed area;
• Do not scratch or rub the tattooed area with your hands to remove crusts after eyebrow tattooing or exfoliated skin, if any;
• Apply cosmetics or perform cosmetic procedures in the eyebrow area;
• Visit a steam room or swimming pool;
• Exercise harshly and sweat intensely.

During the initial two days following the procedure, the eyebrows may darken because the pigment blends with the blood clot. The superficial pigment typically dissipates within a day, a normal bodily response. It is recommended to gently remove this pigment using a cotton pad moistened with chlorhexidine or another antiseptic solution. Between days 4 and 7, some may experience peeling and itching, which should not be aggressively treated if the procedure was conducted professionally.
The itching will disappear after a few days, and the flaking will disappear. You should not tear off the flaking skin and try to get rid of it mechanically. The skin should come off naturally. After the flaking subsides, the colour of the eyebrows may become lighter. The shade of the eyebrows will be individual, as the pigment can give from 20 to 90% of the sediment, which depends on the saturation of the colour. The final result can be assessed a month after the initial procedure, and a correction can be made.

Due to various factors, it is difficult to determine the exact time for which brow makeup will remain unchanged. These criteria include the pigment’s properties, depth of application into the skin, amount of aftercare steps, and frequency of touch-up processes.

Typically, a tattoo’s initial appearance remains unchanged for 1-2 years. In exceptional instances, permanent tattoos may endure for 3 to 5 years, contingent upon appropriate care, prevention of injury, and limited exposure to direct sunlight. The age of the individual receiving the tattoo is a significant factor influencing the pace of tissue regeneration.

What should be done before and after the procedure so that the effect of tattooing eyebrows remains for a long time?

A week before the procedure, it is desirable to take care of the skin in the area of the planned tattoo—to apply moisturizing balms or creams.

For two days before a visit, the client should refuse alcoholic beverages and other blood-thinning substances, including analgesics.

Limiting the consumption of caffeine and energy drinks on the day of the procedure is necessary.

You can not come hungry for tattooing because the body needs energy and strength. Food on this day should be nourishing but easily digestible. Drinking much water the day before the tattooing process would be best. Proper moisturizing will improve the skin’s condition, ensuring good health and fast healing.

The eyebrows may look unnatural immediately after the eyebrow tattoo, but the effect is normalized within a few weeks. Often, the first impression of heavily defined eyebrows is wrong. If you notice overly dark eyebrows after the procedure, calmly wait for the final result.

Typically, the healing process for permanent eyebrow makeup takes around two weeks. During this time, scabs and redness should fade if you properly care for the area by applying Bepanthen cream with vitamin E. This cream helps accelerate skin regeneration.

After permanent eyebrow makeup, do not expose your face to the sun, and use creams with an ultraviolet filter.

Avoid swimming, saunas, and facial cosmetics for two weeks after the procedure.
